Mother Teresa was a Christian missionary who spent her entire life in India as a nun. She was born on 26th August 1910 at the then Yugoslavia (now the Republic of Macedonia). She came to India as a nun when she was only 19 years old. She came with the motto to help the poorest people. After coming here and watching the situation, she decided to stay here forever.

In 1950 she established Missionaries of Charity to help the poor, helpless and disabled people. There was huge problem-related health among the poor people in India. She wanted to serve them and treat them properly. She wanted to spend her entire life helping people. There are lots of important things that we can learn from her life.
Her Missionaries of Charity is now active on more than 100 countries all around the world. She had a deep love for Jesus Christ and she was devoted to Christianity very deeply. She used to pray to God often. She got Indian Citizenship in 1951. Then won Nobel Peace Prize as the first-ever Indian in 1979. Before that, she was awarded for “Padma-Shri” in 1962 and “Bharat-Ratna” in 1980.
She had a very simple and easy lifestyle. Though she was a leader, she loved to keep herself as a normal woman. She wore a blue-bordered white saree regularly. There are lots of lessons that we can learn from her life. She teaches us to sacrifice life for humanity and there is nothing up than humanity.
