The official name of Dhaka Airport is ‘Shahjalal International Airport’. It is located in Kurmitola, Dhaka. It is the biggest and best airport in the country. The location of this airport is very beautiful. It is located on the north side of Dhaka city near an area called Uttara. 

The area is very beautiful and there has been a business hub based on the airport. The operation of this airport got started in 1980, it was mainly moved from Tejgaon Airport. At first, the airport was known as ‘Dacca International Airport’ and then ‘Zia International Airport’, and finally it has been named with an Islamic Saint Shah Jalal. 

It is the main hub for the Biman Bangladesh Airlines. It has added so much importance in the city and it is widely known. The facilities there are amazing as the other developed country. First of all the surrounding is very beautiful and secured. 

Tons of security guards, police, RAB, and armies are there to protect any kind of unpleasant activities. It has an eight-lane airport road. There is a very interesting story behind this airport. It is a very important business hub for the country as it has connected it with the entire world.
