Holi is one of the biggest cultural and religious celebrations in India. Hindu among all over the world celebrates this day. Mostly India, Bangladesh and Nepali people celebrate this amazing festival. Holi is one of my favorite festivals in the entire year. There are so many reasons behind it. This festival has a beautiful story behind it. People come together and enjoy a lot. Everyone forgets about problems between them and strengthens their brotherhood. This festival is known as the festival of color too. This celebration is to put color on someone else face and body. Everyone comes out wearing a white dress and with lots of water and color.

Holi is the most colorful day in India. To celebrate this day with so many fun people wear a white dress and come out with color and water. Everyone throws water and color to each other body and face. It becomes too much fun and colorful. They sing and dance a lot. The young people make the most fun. This celebration is all about making so much joy. People drink a local drink named ‘bhaang’ in the day time.
In the evening, they go to a bath and change their clothes. Then they visit their relative’s house. Including India, Bangladesh and Nepal also celebrate this festival. This festival is my favorite festival because of so many reasons. Holi spreads the message to happiness, joy and love. People come together forgetting caste or region. It shows a win of good over bad. This colorful festival can remove all sorts of negativity from society.

Holi is one of the biggest festivals among the Hindu people in India. This celebration comes with so much fun. It is the most colorful festival. There are so many reasons that are why this is my favorite festival in the year. A night before the Holi, people make a huge fire. There is a story behind this celebration. There was King Hiranyakashyap, who wanted to burn his son Prahlad. He worshipped Lord Vishnu and that was his sin according to the king. King ordered his sister Holika to burn Prahlad. Holika has a blessing that she will never be burned in the fire.
But when they made a fire to burn Prahlad, Holika went into the fire with him. Amazingly Prahlad was safe and Holika died burning with fire. That is the story behind this celebration. This festival is so much. Everyone comes outside with color and water. People used to wear white dress in this day. They do prayer to God in the morning. They put color on each other’s body and face. It becomes hard to know people’s faces on this day. It is one of the best festivals for children. They enjoy so much. Overall this is the best festival for me.
